Rugs, rugs and more rugs
I, sometimes, supervise in person, in South America, the making of these custom needlepoint area rugs for my clients from the National Capital Region. This activity of wool rug making sustains about two thousand adult women who can work from home, raise their families and live with dignity.
It all started about 40 years ago with a dream of a local woman. I was there to see.
This rug pictured above is named "Lilies". It is part of the floral line. These special rugs can be ordered in various size, colour and pattern to suit a decor.
A great decorating feature cherished by interior designers all over the planet. Now, in Ottawa as well. They are practical and easy to keep and clean. Best is to let it face down over fresh snow. Once every two years, if it really needs. Natural wool has Lanolin that repels dirt.

Why to choose a rug?
I like to start to plan a room with textiles. As in rugs and/or window treatment, upholstery goods or bed covers.
This runner "Trellis with Leaves" can be the starting point and inspiration to a warm and yet classical decor.

por falar em praia, meu irmao, (modo de dizer ne'. pq irma e irmas estao incluidas, claro), a dos Carneiros, ao sul de Recife, foi demais. sobretudo por estar entre os famosos manos Bretz Poluzzi. Gracias Angela e Mario, valeu.
acabo de voltar do Brasil. do meu. do nosso. foi bom. foi otimo.
Trouxe mil coisas lindas. Tapetes sensacionais, ceramicas formosas, quadros, pinturas e ate' bolo de rolo...
quem gosta do Ze Som? euuuuuuuu.........

do rio, da lapinha, dos fufos, da sandrinha, do paulo roberto, da drica, de olinda, do manos, do rudo, do alfredo, das sobrinhas, da mamae, das tapiocas, arlindo dos 8 baixos, de aratu, do leite (restaurante desde 1872), dos queridos toinho e lea, das angelas, da rose, da enilda, da comadre norma, do homem que me vendia peixe, do mercado sao jose, das costureiras (todas), da maria, da dona joana, da vivi, do rio cenario, da turma ok, da lia, dos restaurantes em sao paulo, da andra, da dinda, dos 2 mauros, da musica, martinha, marquinhos- de tudo enfim. so faltou o helio, o marcio e o kid. da proxima?

How colour can substantially affect your life, environment, decor and feelings
Because colour is a physical phenomena with its wave lengths and a particular vibration, the effects can be felt during the absence of light. In the dark, our eyes can not distinguish colour. But it is there and it impacts on us. Even when one sleeps, the effect of colour remains. It impacts on blind people as well.
That is why choosing the appropriate colour, from clothing to wall paint, is so important for our well being and looks.
The colour wheel -that we can find easily to buy- was developed nearly 300 years ago by Isaac Newton, and until nowadays is a very useful tool to combine different hues, to set a mood and to check for personal colour preferences.
